After the fallout of holiday stitching, this time of year is perfect for getting your creative space organized again. There is little that is more frustrating than starting a project and having to look for misplaced thread and supplies.

Light, heat, and dust are mortal enemies of thread. Ideally, thread should be stored in a drawer, cabinet, or container out of direct sunlight.

I recently acquired a brilliant product from Laser Bee Studio that makes organizing your thread a joy. Sturdy laser-cut thread trays are made from wood and backed with a wood veneer.

These 30-slot thread trays fit standard 12x12 scrapbook cases, the 12x12 Iris scrapbooking cart, or work as drawer inserts or shelf trays.

If you stitch with a variety of threads, there are general trays that you can arrange as you like.
