Cork makes a great surface for machine embroidery. The best part? There are no edges to finish!

One of the most fun surfaces upon which to embroider is cork. It has a luxurious feel to it, much like leather and is ideal for creating freestanding designs like monograms. This project was featured in Volume 114 of Designs in Machine Embroidery magazine.
