Summer Lovin’ by Kimberbell Designs is so darn cute and versatile, too. I’ll give you some ideas on what to make, so be sure to get the CD while they are still 25% off!

The Summer Lovin’ design set is part of Kimberbell’s Pennants and Banners series. It includes pennants that are made entirely in the hoop. Four summer embroidery designs are included but you could also create the banner and embroider it as you like.

Designs support hoop sizes of 4×4, 5×7, 6×10, 8×12, and 9×14. The smaller sizes are perfect for creating banners and ornaments while the largest size is just right for door signs and garden flags.

With five sizes of pennants, here are some ideas for you:

• Make summer garden flags with the large sizes. Use durable outdoor fabrics like canvas or burlap. 
• Stitch the pennant and add a monogram to personalize everything from a gift to a wreath.
• Add embroidery of your choice to the small pennants and use them as wedding favors.
• Wedding décor: Think “Mr. & Mrs.,” the married couple’s last name, first names, wedding date, or their monograms. How about spiritual verses to hang on church pews? Coordinate colors. Add beads and lace.
• Baby birth announcements would be so sweet. From “It’s a Girl” to “It’s a Boy, It’s Twins, or even the baby’s name, birth weight, length, time, and birth date.
• Make banners for birthdays, parties, showers, pretty much any celebration.
• Special occasion garden flags can announce family reunions, picnics, or ice cream socials.
