One of the most popular features of
Embrilliance among machine embroiderers is the incredibly useful knockdown
stitch tool. It is included exclusively in Enthusiast
and you can get 10% off until August 5.
What makes knockdown stitches so
useful? When embroidering on anything with a nap, like fleece
and towels, you generally use a topping stabilizer. These can be
helpful, but have a limitation: They do not hold down the nap past the actual
stitch, which means outlines can be lost in the surrounding fabric.
Knockdown stitches create an underlay for the entire design. The underlay
extends a few millimeters past the edge of the design, which helps the overall
effect.
This product revolutionizes embroidering
on towels – no more need for expensive topping stabilizers (Solvy for example)
– the stitching automatically flattens the surface, allowing the design
stitches to show beautifully, without nesting in the pile of the towel. This is
especially effective on designs with thin elements, like text, that get lost in
the loops, fuzz, and fleece.

I think I’ll tell you a bit about the qui...

We have found that by making our cross stitch designs the centerpiece of a quick-to-quilt piece, a lovely finished result is achieved. Many embroiderers also love to quilt, so combining the two “media” seemed like a natural!
Cross Stitch designs, especially the small ones, can be use...

Here it is, the second day of Fall, and it’s already cold in the mornings here in Orlando. By “cold” I mean 68° (20° C) which, for me here in Florida, is sweater weather. It doesn’t usually cool off until the middle of November, so this is quite a treat ...
