This layout was created for my son who was born in 2007.
Journaling: And the journey begins! I honestly
was pretty shocked when I saw the pregnancy test show positive. I
remember seeing the plus sign appear and searching for the instructions
because surely a plus didn’t mean positive.. right? But the digital
test put all my doubt right in the trash, because within seconds it
told me my future.. I was pregnant.

July 9, 2006I am almost through week six of this pregnancy... it seems like a lifetime still in front of me!Today,
by my records, I am 6 weeks and 5 days. We had an ultrasound on July 3,
but we were only able to see the sac. We go in Monday to have another
ultrasound and my thoughts are deeply around wanting to see the
heartbeat of this future person who is living within my body. I’m
having morning sickness, though it’s not as horrible as it was with
Shaylee. I really think being back in Nebraska, the fresh clean air...
that that has a lot to do with me not being sicker.I’m not
sleeping well right now. I’m also swelling up in my hands and feet. But
in the grand scheme of things, these are such insignificant things.Shaylee
knows that her mommy has a baby in her tummy, and she spends many
moments speculating that she’s going to have a little sister. She tells
me how the baby will cry when it’s born and how we will feed it and
change it’s diaper. I hope her excitement is as big after the baby is
born as it is now!

Journaling: This little tiny flutter on the screen...
barely visible by Eric and I. I am pretty sure my heart skipped a beat
when I saw it. It was real. This baby was real, and it was doing just
fine. I had spent so many hours worried about another miscarriage. So
worried about another loss. And that little flutter gave me a moment to
sit back and relax. We were having another baby. Our little wollypog
was making it’s way into our hearts and our lives. There was no denying
it now... We were having another baby!

I faithfully took a photo of my tummy every
week. This photo was taken at 40 weeks, 5 days. I"m still amazed at
looking at these photos, and realizing that inside that tummy was my
daughter. Mind blowing! (My daughter was born in 2002).
