Tips for Classy Monograms

Monograms are one of the most popular items that we embroider and these tips will help you make them stand out!

Monograms are especially popular for weddings, college students, and our own personal home accessories.

As elegant as monograms can be, it is no wonder that they were once used only by royalty, even as an ancient form of currency. You can find monogram fonts here.

Classic Monogram

Single-letter monograms are typically used most often used for the first name initial (children and single women) or the initial of the last name of single men and married couples/partners.

Victorian Floral Border

Ornate frames make single-letter monograms stand out even more and textured backgrounds add an heirloom touch.

Rose Monogram

Match fonts to the project style. Have fun with themes, whether they are monograms or fonts, perfect for kids, to accent monograms.

Split Applique

Split monograms are quite popular for adding both first names and last names. Some even add a wedding date or year of the established birth or union.

Interlocking Machine Embroidery Font

Three-letter monograms are very popular for singles, married couples, and partners. Traditionally, the surname (last name) initial is in the middle and larger than the other two.

Engraved Monogram Font

The other initials consist of the first names of the couple (usually the bride’s first name initial comes first), or the first name initial and middle initial of a single person.
