Did you know you can use your fonts as templates for hand embroidery?
I recently had a request to add beading to a stocking to match a purchased set. I found a similar font and printed out the design template without the crosshairs.
I traced the template onto a fabric-type water-soluble stabilizer to use as a guide for stitching on the beads.
After beads were stitched, I trimmed the water-soluble stabilizer close to the beads and removed the rest with a wet cotton swab.
How have you used machine embroidery in non-traditional ways?
