Hi, I was embroidering a logo on the back of a jacket on my Brother PR620 machine & noticed the top thread is looping badly in certain parts of the logo.

The jacket is quite thick, a puffa type padded jacket, would this be the reason? I'd only put in new needles. What would cause this looping?

Any help or advice would be great, thanks

I can only tell you what this usually means for a single needle machine.

Loops on top indicate a bobbin thread error.

Loops on the bottom indicate a top thread error.

A Yahoo Group for Brother PR models may be able to shed more light on the problem you are having.
