Just the same, here is my tip for those catalogs.  If you keep them for reference or use in the future, mark the date on the front cover (or side edge if space allows).  Many of the catalogs don't have the date on them - crazy huh?

Use a China Marker, every home needs these, they mark on so many things and reasonably priced.  The catalogs tend to be on paper that is difficult to write on. 

Now you have more control over all that information.
