I have received hundreds of these "spam" request. We also have been getting posts with undesirable attachments. Not all forum subjects are moderated, so if one of these should get by the moderator, please report the post.
This has been brought to the attention of the ATG technical staff.

Thank you for posting this. It is a shame that some people have to ruin it for the majority of nice people here at AnnTheGran.
Signing up cannot really be monitored and hopefully the tech people can block these some how.
I still want to be friends, but I am checking when people have been signing up. While that won't be a sure thing, it may help.
