I purchased muslin for the backing on a quilt. It have a lot of creases/wrinkles (came off the bolt that way) and want it to lay as smooth as possible to make my sandwich.
What methods have you used to achieve a smooth fabric? My ironing board is not big enough to lay this out (and, unfortunately, I can't afford myself a bigger one since my workroom is not that big), so I'm planning to use a steamer (second here) we bought for clothes. But I'm not sure if I can use it with muslin. Or maybe you can share other tricks with me?
Thanks in advance, ladies!

Hang it up and use a spray bottle with water. Don't soak it - just mist it from the backside. Takes some time for them to fall out. I keep mine in a stuff sack and when I hang it I mist it again.

Give it a hot wash without any detergent or softener. Use half a cup of white vinegar to rinse off any deposits and tumble dry.
