Hi, I've been searching and can't find an answer to my problem.  Every time I download a pattern from any site, I can pull it up on my machine, Singer Futura CE 150 (an oldie) and it shows that it is centered but when I start to sew, it's not centered and the machine freaks out because it's usually too close to the hoop. Can anyone help??

Thanks,

Karin

I looked at the manual for your machine and it does not have some the features that are usually standards for machine embroidery; changing the design position and checking the outline of the design.

Have you tried resizing?  Be sure the size of the design file (normally not referred to as a pattern) is within the hoop size and the embroidery foot does not hit the hoop.

Should either the embroidery foot or the needle hit the hoop the machine can become unaligned.  A machine out of alignment will not create proper stitches when sewing or embroidering and require a trip to the dealer for service/adjustment.
