I just recently purchased a used PE-150 and also bought PEd basic, now I am looking for something I can combine letters with to save words to load onto my card. I don't want to get into complicated software or digitizing just something easy I can use fonts with. Any suggestions? I want to go very cheap (like FREE) because I want to save up for a newer machine. This is just going to be a hobby too don't want to get into business just make some gifts. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

For something like this - http://www.annaboveembro...ry.com/usemfo.html Embird is inexpensive at around $130. You start with the basic program and then add plug-in programs as you progress in using an embroidery machine. Here is a trial - http://www.secretsof.com/content/1853
Universal Stitch Era is "free", but is a little difficult to grasp - http://colmanandcompany....ic_store/SIERRA-SEU.html
Remember, you are limited to a 4" x 4" embroidery area with the PE150.

Another option with no learning involved would be to use the Quick Font Lettering right here at Ann's place.
At about $5 per request, you can get a lot different lines with just a few clicks of your computer.
Sometimes, it is easier to let the pros to it because digitizing is not easy. You can see my latest blog for info about digitizing. Personally, I don't have time to learn all the available software I could use, I rely on a pro to do it at a small cost. I also don't do brain surgery. . . . for a good reason!
