What great pot holders. I have been looking for some items to make for a craft fair. I am going to give it a try. What material did you use for the inside insulation? they look terrific--Linda from Santa Cruz CA

I would love to start making potholders but I am not sure what kind of material to buy. Is it a special material?

I just embroidered the pictures on some cotton I had on hand and put 2 layers of batting in between the 2 layers and used some other cotton I had as bindings.

I also do as trie3 does but with one change I use prequilted fabric sometimes and layer it with pre-quilted insul-bright and pre-quilted again and then use bias tape for sides. I have also done the same idea with denium one layer of thin cotton batting , insul-bright , thin cotton batting , and denim again sometimes I will also just serge the edges with contrast thread as well. Enjoy !
