  • Re: Stabilizers

I agree with recycling. I am a little skeptical if you are using something this light weight for stabilizer. I have ruined projects with too little stabilizer. My rule of thumb is the lighter weight the fabric, and increased stitches, the heavier the stabilizer needs to be. I might use a dryer sheet...

  • Re: Stabilizer for Redwork

You can try a couple of things = doing a discovery sew = testing different things. One thing you may want to do is use a lot less spray, just a small amount is the best. When doing a napped fabric, even that amount of spray can be too much. The next thing I would do is to baste the stabilizer on to the...

  • Re: Lapel Stick use

When I'm embroidering on a fabric that I'm afraid will pinch like the one in the photo, I will use a fusible stabilizer. I really like fusible polymesh. Even though it's a cutaway, it's very thin and soft. Glenda

  • Re: Stabilizer

Pat, Thank you so much for answers, When I was pondering my problem, I did look at the Stabalizer and material. I actually used a heavy cut a way . I also hadn't changed my needle from my last project and it was making pretty big holes in the material. I looked at my material chart and needle usage...

Dear Anyone I'm putting a name on a man's work shirt. It is 85 % polester and the rest cotton. To me that would be between light and medium. I'm having trouble with it punching on a couple of letters. I'm using Medium Cut a way stabilizer. What am I doing wrong ? I have it in the hoop...

  • Re: A lot of newcomers

In comment to you not hooping T-Shirts, sweatshirts or towels. I don't hoop towels, but my question is this - isn't it hard to get the garment in the correct spot if you wait until you have the hoop under the machine. I always use the table in my laundry room so I can lay things flat. I have...

  • stablizer

Hi, I need a general purpose stabilizers , it doesn't need to be adhesive , nor water soluble. I see there are a number of annthegran stabilizers but I'm confused to what I need. • Re: Stabilizer scraps

Is it OK to use some temp. adhesive spray to "fuse" two pieces of to stabilizer together with a small overlap and then use it for a sew-out. I've done it, with some success, but just wondered if I'm barking up the wrong tree. laruej

  • Re: No More Sticky Hoops
