    PED Basic software

I recently purchased the PED Basic software--I was tired of carrying my machine to another room to download from my computer. I have the Borthers PE70011 and I love it. I am wondering if anyone knows how I can rotate lettering  I have recreated so that the PED Basic will copy them onto the card. I am making 3 lettering monograms with the middle letter 3" tall and the other 2". The Ped Basic isnot  copying them. When doing names on my emb. machine, I am allowed to rotate the names to fit the hoop. I have also purchase the jumbo hoop. If anyone can give me any kind of advice on how to do this, I would greatly appreciate it. I am very new to all this. Purchased my emb.machine two months ago. Thanks

OK, I think I figured it out. I went into my software and rotated the lettering. Then the PE Basic did copy it. It worked as long as the entire length was less than 7"(5x7 hoop). I guess if I do lettering longer than that, I will need to do a split and use two files.  If anyone has any other ideas on this please let me know.

Welcome to the wonderful world of machine embroidery (ME) and AnnTheGran (ATG). ME is the most fun craft, it is beautiful, and creative, you are going to fall in love!

I am wondering what you mean by "recreated so that the PED Basic will copy them onto the card."  Recreating a design would only be a copy of the design, not an altered design.  I need more information in order to try to help you.

In the meantime, may I suggest that you check out the Forum Posting wherein I do a simple project with good tips for a newbie (loving name for a person new to ME).

Then I recommend to anyone new to ME to read, ask questions, and read some more.  Blogs are a good place to start and I have a blog that you may find helpful for many issues related to ME.  I am probably over due to do a posting on monograms, so I will try to get to that soon.

Let us know how you are doing with your new craft.  So many people here are friendly and helpful because, after all, they have been where you are at in the past.

    Read!

Sorry about that word. Mis typed!! I created names and 3 letter monograms in my software. I have been reading all the forums for a few months. They have been very helpful. I have also printed some of the info to post close to my emb. machine. I have 11 grandchildren so that will keep me busy on my emb. machine. I have been doing beach towels and totes for them.

I did read the post on PE Basic but it was not about my problem. I think I have fixed the problem. I just wish there was a way my emb. machine would read the largest jumbo hoop. Thanks for the reply and I will continue to read your blogs.
