Journaling reads: Precious little Madeleine, just 24 hours old! Here you are all dressed and ready to leave the hospital and go home for the very first time! And being the sweet little girl that you are, you already have a little hint of a smile! You weren"t up for too many photos this afternoon, but sweetly granted us a few snapshots before you asked to be picked up again and snuggled.

My cute little Maddie posing for a quick photo shoot. I was hoping to catch a big grin, and though I didn"t catch one this day, I still think these photos of her are pretty cute!

Princess Castle Cake

As soon as I saw Stacy Carlson"s Sammy and Josh"s Medieval Adventure Collection I knew it was the pe.rfect kit to scrap my daughter"s birthday cake! To match the page theme I used a color overlay and made the castle element pink
Journaling reads: Shortly after your 3rd birthday you decided that your 4th birthday cake simply had to be a princess castle cake, pink, of course! Once and a while you thought about other cakes (Clifford and Strawberry Shortcake) but always came back to a castle. For your party you picked out Disney princess decorations and insisted that there be a princess on top of the cake too. It didn"t turn out exactly how I"d hoped but you seemed absolutely thrilled!

My little girl and some of the funny little expressions she made while figuring out just where all the pieces go!
Journaling reads: One of your favorite things to do lately is play with this alphabet puzzle. You know just where all the letters go and are learning more and more of their names! You love the letter Q, know that M and W can look like eachother when you flip them and you even know that D is for Dada and W is for Wubbzy, Waldon and Widget!

I just love this picture of my little Cayley looking through all the tulips we"d just brought in from the backyard. (A storm was on the way and we knew the blooms wouldn"t make it through, so we picked them all to enjoy inside.)
This layout was created with a quickpage from the Tulips in Bloom Quickpage Set. I modified this quickpage by removing the dividing sections between the 4 photo openings.

Cayley in a rare still moment, admiring the tulips she deemed to be the best! I love the sunlight on her head!
Journaling reads: Daddy picked some tulips that were growing in the backyard because a storm was on the way. You were absolutely facinated with them!
