I'm trying to load a 4x4 design (created with Letter it!) into my PE-770.  The machine tells me I can use either a 5x7 hoop or a 4x4 hoop.  I want to use 4x4 due to the size/shape of the fabric and saving on stabilizer.  However, I can't get my machine to recognize that the hoop is a 4x4 and therefore it centers the design as if it's in a 5x7 hoop.  Does anyone know how to make it recognize that I've swtiched hoops?  Thanks so much!!

What is the difference in the center positions?

You can you jog the hoop so the needle begins at another starting position (see page 61 of your manual).

On another note, a few inches of stabilizer is not that expensive.

It's about two centemeters too low and one centemeter to the right... I've been moving the starting point (page 61) but I just wanted it to work right on its own.  I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem, or if there was an easier fix.  I also need to use the smaller hoop for things like onesies and tinier projects.

Then you will need to take your machine and project to the dealer and ask if they can show you what is wrong, if anything.  Call first and ask for an appointment or best time for them to work with you.
