I am very new at this embroidery thing and I am having a hard time opening the designs, is there a specific website I can use to open the zipped files?

Windows should open the files. Highlight the file by moving the cursor and a mini screen should appear on the Windows screen. Choose extract all or open. The extracted or open design file is the one you will save. The zipped file can be deleted once you are sure the file has been opened.
