Designer 1 USB with Windows 7 problem

Hi, I am desperate for some help!!! I am using Wilcom to view and save my designs. I cannot seem to get them to save to the USB stick no matter what ending I use HUS, vp3 or SHV (which I can't ususally find) I have managed ONCE to save a design to a menu and open it and embroider it with no problem but can't do it twice. Bout ready to throw this machine out the window. Have been told something about Vista but no idea what that involves. Can someone out there help me????

Have you recently saved other designs to this same stick?
Try saving the unzipped/extracted/reformated design file to your pc's hard drive then copy to the stick.
I do not know what Vista has to do with this if you have W7.
Vista is an older version of Windows. I have been using it for a few years without any issues.
