I have a Janome 9700 Machine. I am new to this site and wanted to download a design. It only showed pes. How do I get the design in JEF?

The free designs are only in .pes.
In the past we (those who have downloaded free designs) have used Pulse Ambassador. This was a free format conversion software by Tajima. However, recently the owners of this product have changed the software and now only support DST, PXF and POF instead of the vast list of formats used by many home embroidery machines.
I have found Wilcom has a free conversion program. You will have to join (free) and then they will send you a password or the actual download. I tried it and found it does provides conversion for every format, including jef.
